DVSA- Phishing Email
Posted 22 July 2025 — Anyone

DVSA has been made aware of a phishing email currently in circulation. This email falsely claims to be from DVSA and requests personal information from ADIs such as address, postcode, date of birth, and personal reference numbers.
DVSA will only request this information from ADIs in the following circumstances:
1. When they register a new online business service account
1. When they request for a suspension on their account to be lifted
Any genuine request for this information will come from a @dvsa.gov.uk email address.
DVSA are also aware of other similar emails requesting ADI information which they are currently investigating.
If you or your members receive an email asking for these details and are unsure of its legitimacy, do not respond. Instead, please forward the message to enquiries@dvsa.gov.uk so they can verify its authenticity.
For more information on what to do if you have responded to a phishing email and how to spot one, see the DVSA Direct message that they will be issuing to all ADIs and PDIs at 10am tomorrow Wednesday 23 July 2025.
Thank you for your continued vigilance and support in helping DVSA protect the ADI community.
