Next steps on DVSA’s plans to review and improve the rules for booking driving tests

Thank you to everyone who responded to the call for evidence on the current rules and processes for booking and managing a car driving test.
DVSA received over 26,900 responses from ADIs, learner drivers and businesses who use the booking system.
This level of response gives us a really strong evidence base to work from.
What happens next
We’re already busy analysing your responses.
Once we have finished, the results will be used to develop proposals to improve the rules and booking system for driving tests.
When those proposals are ready, we’ll run a consultation to get your views.
DVSA expect to launch the consultation in spring 2025 but will let you and your pupils know when it goes live.
